Privacy policy · PanePeek for macOS
Your privacy
in PanePeek.
PanePeek handles browsing and editing locally on your Mac.
Last updated
Your files and previews
PanePeek reads your folders to show their contents and opens files when you preview or edit them. Its access to your files and folder information stays on your Mac.
When you open a cloud folder, such as iCloud, or a network drive, macOS and that service may transfer data. The service’s own privacy policy applies to those transfers.
Saved settings
PanePeek keeps your favourite folder paths in your Mac’s settings. It also saves the folders and layout from your last active window so you can pick up where you left off.
Favourites stay saved until you remove them, and the saved window updates as you work. Text drafts last for the current app session; choose Save to keep your changes in the file.
Website hosting
Cloudflare hosts this website and processes technical request information, including your IP address, to deliver and protect it. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) for details.
Website theme
Your theme choice is saved in this browser. Choose System to follow your device’s theme and clear the saved choice.
Apple services
PanePeek’s app data use is limited to local file access and saved settings. Apple can share app analytics and crash reports through its optional services.
Your Mac’s sharing settings control what Apple shares. For macOS Analytics & Improvements settings, see Apple’s guide to sharing analytics (opens in a new tab).
Apple’s iCloud Mail handles support emails under Apple’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). If you download PanePeek from the Mac App Store, Apple also handles the download and any purchase.
When you contact support
Bilal Cinarli receives your email address and what you choose to include in the message or attachments. These details are used to reply and look into the issue.
Support emails and attachments are deleted three months after receipt. You can use the address below to ask about your personal information or request earlier deletion.
You can also report bugs or suggest improvements through GitHub Issues (opens in a new tab). The email retention period applies only to email correspondence. GitHub handles information posted there under its Privacy Statement (opens in a new tab).
